ARPA Piemonte ha redatto una relazione per la Protezione Civile in merito ai rischi idrogeologici per la primavera estate 2009, tenendo conto della consistenza del manto nevoso presente in montagna in seguito alle forti nevicate dell'inverno scorso.

Sono passati 120 anni dal 31 marzo 1888, quando venne fondato a Torino il Rowing Club Italiano,

e l'Armida fu uno dei soci fondatori della prima federazione sportiva italiana, ma lo spirito di goliardia

in qusti ultimi 120 anni non ci ha mai abbandonati.  Nel 1869 quando ci chiamavamo MEK-MEK, lo

spirito era il medesimo, nel 1874 diventammo Armida e oggi siamo rimasti tali, come allora !

A Boston Marcello Miani e Alin Zaharia campioni mondiali indoor
BOSTON, 23 febbraio 2009 - E’ grande Italia negli Stati Uniti, precisamente all’Agganis Arena di Boston dove nella serata di ieri si è svolto  il C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints, il campionato mondiale di indoor rowing.
Sulla distanza di 2000 metri, Marcello Miani (SC Ravenna), quarto classificato a Pechino 2008 nel doppio PL con Elia Luini, si è laureato campione mondiale nella categoria pesi leggeri con il tempo di 6.14.0, superando per soli 7 decimi il genovese Augusto Zamboni (SS Murcarolo), giunto secondo al termine di una gara appassionante ed estremamente equilibrata.
Il canottiere genovese è rimasto avanti sino a trecento metri dal traguardo, momento in cui Miani ha dato fondo a tutte le sue energie per compiere il decisivo sorpasso: in totale erano 116 i partecipanti, al terzo posto si è classificato l’americano Moritz Hafner
Titolo mondiale anche per Alin Zaharia (SC Armida), bravissimo nel dominare la gara dei pesi leggeri juniores con il tempo di 6.15.7, ben dodici secondi più veloce dell’americano Scott Tinsman.
Tra i Senior sono due gli italiani classificati tra i primi venti: il ravennate Bruno Rosetti, ottavo con il tempo di 6.00.4, e Leopoldo Sansone (CRV Italia), diciassettesimo in 6.05.7. Il neocampione del mondo è il francese Cedric Berrest (5.48.9).

Sabato purtroppo per le avverse condizioni del tempo non si è svolta la  prima regata, pertanto alcuni equipaggi dell'Armida non hanno potuto partecipare. Comunque l'Armida è stata la società con più iscritti.

Alin Zaharia campione europeo di Indoor Rowing
L'atleta della Canottieri Armida, Alin Zaharia si conferma tra gli junior emergenti più forti del mondo. Sabato a Roma al Palalottomatica ha vinto infatti il titolo europeo di Indoor Rowing nella categoria junior (leggeri) con il tempo sui 2.000 metri di 6'18" netti sbaragliando la concorrenza (il secondo classificato, Larsen Mathias della Danimanrca con oltre undici secondi di distacco).
